You know sometimes it’s hard to be alone You know sometimes it’s hard to be alone Just hop on the train Im going back home Just hop on the train I'm going back home You know sometimes It’s hard to be a child You know sometimes It’s hard to be a child They toughen your skin they take all your pride They toughen your skin they take all your pride Can’t you see? Can’t you see? That I’m not alone No I’m not alone You know sometimes it’s hard to be a sinner You know sometimes it’s hard to be a sinner Self righteousness will creep up on you Self righteousness will creep up on me You know sometimes it’s hard to be a saint You know sometimes it’s hard to be a saint Well I’m shit out of luck I’m stuck in the mud You're dumb out of luck you're stuck in the mud Can’t you see? Can’t you see? That I’m not alone No I’m not alone

I fall in love so easy I fall in love so fast The coldest of wind feels breezy And snow looks like summer’s sand The ocean is so romantic It gracefully crushes grown men I am on the titanic So gracefully sinking in Oh how it feels so lovely, oh how it feels so nice I climb mountains for you by the morning Black and frost bitten by night Oh how it feels so lovely, oh how it feels so nice Love the daily glacier Love the daily fight So hold me until tomorrow But start leaving me today Rejection in smaller doses So I painlessly fade away
3.
A thousand smiles they fill my glass They make it so it’s almost half, well Only you can do this Only you can do Just hold me until there’s no more pain Talk me right out of my brain Only you can do this Only you can do Tack our memories up They’ll last forever Stick our hearts in a box They’ll stay there Stay there You get me every time You get me every time Just say the words and you’ll be mine You get me every time A thousand goodbyes fill my cup They never will quite fill it up, no because Only you can do this Only you can do
4.
Depth, mystery, open sea, love and pain Look into me, see that we aren’t the same Life, history, complications we bring Love for us, hate for us, grace for us Who will sing? Who will sing? Are we digging caves or digging tunnels? I do not know I do not know Do you really want into this Gambling, gambling Well if life can throw dice more than twice well then Maybe we’ll win Maybe we’ll win Are we digging caves or digging tunnels? I do not know I do not know We are going somewhere special We are going somewhere special We are going somewhere special You got me Got me Got me Good

I boast I’m boasting every day I’m weak My body leads me astray I am glad that this is hurting me deeply Now i’m closer to your face I’m closer to your face I grieve because you stay the same Don’t be so blind It’s not as if there’s blood in your side When you are weak Don’t you know that strength it’s in me Now I’m closer to your face I’m closer to your face Meet me here I am coming I am crawling near My hand shakes If only I could touch your face Well break my bones Let everything between us disappear I don’t want all these things that you have to offer I just want you near I boast I’m boasting every day I am weak My heart it leads me astray Well I’m glad that this is hurting me deeply Now I’m closer to your face I’m closer to your face And I’m drowning in your grace

Genevieve 04:09
She was small, small as a dancer Eyes gonna light, light up the world She was strong, walking through fire She would let nobody in He was kind, just like his father Never would raise, raise a fist Travelled wide, wide as the ocean He would wait for her to love him Can I borrow flowers from your hair? Can I steal that spark out of your stare? Don't you know you're turning women green? Breaking peoples’ hearts, your hands are clean She was bold, bolder than concrete She'd knock them all off of their feet Wrapped around her little finger She'd steal the eyes of all that she'd meet No my chest don't burn, burn with nobody But fire's gonna light, light up my skin No I can't have, have nobody No I can't have no one but him Genevieve Genevieve You're killing me

Give All 03:15
Love it out Life’s too short to hold it inside Hey life’s too short to hold it inside And if you gotta hug, then hug it out Go on and hug it out Life’s too short to keep it inside I’m gonna give all my loving to you Everything now is gonna come on Come on I’m gonna give all my loving to you Everything now is gonna come on through And if you got to get then get it out Go on and get it out Well Life’s too short to hold it inside Life’s too short to hold it inside Please don’t go shoot it out Los Angeles don’t shoot it out I read the news today How can children lose their lives this way And if you’ve got to ask, then ask away Perhaps the big man upstairs is listening today Maybe he listens all the time In fact I think I heard him say
8.
I want to fall asleep to the sound of you I cannot see your face But I can hear you breathing And man you do that so well I want to sink right in under your chin I cannot see your face But I can hear the pace of your heart And it’s beating so loud I want to dive into the depths of you And I’ll get so lost But that’s my greatest wish, my love You lose me so well I know I hurt you then And I will fall again But you will still be waiting Amazing grace, my God You give it so well You lose me so well
9.
Who knows Things move at the speed of trust Mankind is so damn slow One day we’ll go real’ fast I’m calling shot gun down on Peter’s boat Who knows One day strangers wont exist So many people on the street Why are we so all afraid That our heart’s are gonna meet Who knows If one day I don’t speak for love If one day I don’t speak for love If one day I don’t speak for love Promise you will tape my mouth shut One day we will disappear And an echo’s all I’ll leave here

I'll try to keep this brief as I can so you guys may actually read it :)

This record was created in New Zealand over the course of one beautiful year.

It was all made possible by countless and miraculous encounters I had with people on my travels in Australia and New Zealand (with a large tribute to the unforgettable time spent performing on Wellington’s colourful Cuba Street).

I would like to thank all those who jumped on board with me in making this record possible, and had enough faith in the music

A huge thank you to the main BOSS, sound engineer Abe Ginnane for the hours spent. He is incredibly patient, humble and talented. If it wasn't for him introducing himself with a little note in my tip hat while I was street performing on Cuba Street, this wouldn't be what it is. At all.

The artwork was done by my dear friend Sarah Rowan Dahl in Sydney. Digital layout help by Lauren Sexton from the Ventura, California, mastering done by Jared Adlam at Machine Lab Studios, Australia.

I would like to wholeheartedly thank all the incredible musicians (shout out to my brother Jordan Gray) who I met on the streets and music bars of Wellington who said yes to giving their time, love and talent so generously to me, a short little 'stranger' with a guitar on her back.

Thank you dearly to the BIGGEST love and support from my family, parents, siblings, loved ones and untold number of folks who trusted me to pre-purchased this album, making it possible to become a physical reality.

Lastly, thank you and warm hugs to my dear friends Martin Chamyan, Josh and Elle, Polly Hoganson, Lance Gilbert, Troy Gilbert, and Brent Fletcher who had the ability and faith to pledge above and beyond to the Kickstarter Campaign.

May I continue to look up thankfully knowing that when we receive, it is always to give back.
